Service Learning Strategies considers each individual as intellectually unique with specific needs. Our goal is to identify and address each client's strengths and weaknesses. Together, the tutor, the director, the client, family, and teachers will establish a learning program suited to each particular student.

Convenience A carefully selected tutor will come directly to the home or school of the client at the most conveniently scheduled time. We work around your busy schedule. Tutors serve students all over the Peninsula. Versatility Learning Strategies works with students from pre-kindergarten through high school. Diverse individual programs may include reinforcement or instruction in any subject area from phonics to calculus, standardized test preparation (SSAT, ISEE, HSPT, SAT and others, study skills, writing skills, and homework organization). Whatever the program, we want to help your child develop the strategies to become a lifelong learner.

Variety Learning Strategies is now offering small classes for the purpose of training students in different techniques to stretch themselves to the utmost on standardized tests such as the ISEE, the SSAT HSPT and the SAT. These classes have the unique mark of Learning Strategies personalized education with the ultimate goal of helping each student to realize his or her potential. Oftentimes classes are offered through a school setting. Please call to investigate if your school is offering a class from Learning Strategies. Accountability For our individual clients, tutors keep detailed reports of each tutoring session. Sessions are directed by short-term goals. Long-term goals are pinpointed over a monthly period. The monthly reports allow parents to understand their student's program and teachers to see what progress has been made.
